Your safety is our priority

Here at West Houston, our service is available in person or online.

If you choose you attend our service in person, here’s what you can do before, during, and after service as well as what we’re doing before, during, and after service to ensure a safe and comfortable worship experience for everyone.

If you choose to worship online, we look forward to “seeing” you in the chat!

Before You Arrive

What You Can Do

  • Determine if you are in a high-risk group. If you are, it is encouraged that you worship with us online.
  • Check your health. Have you been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 recently? Are you feeling well? Are you showing any symptoms of COVID-19? If so, we’d encourage you to worship with us online.
  • Bring a Bible, pen, and bottled water. Many of these things that we would like to supply will not be available to help prevent the spread of germs.

What We Will Do

  • Adjust the seating. Our team has organized the chairs in a way that enables safe social distancing. Some rows have been removed and others have been blocked off.
  • Pray! Our leadership is praying for those gathering online and in person. We ask that the Holy Spirit would be on each person as we worship Him through music, study, giving, and fellowship.

While You’re Here

What You Can Do

  • Practice social distancing. We know we want to greet people, but please avoid handshakes and hugs and maintain a 6-foot distance from others.
  • Wear a mask. As a courtesy to others, we ask that you wear a mask while on campus.
  • Find a seat. Seating is open but please respect others by leaving space between people not within your household.

What We Will Do

  • Provide masks and hand sanitizer. Masks will be provided for you if you happen to forget yours. Hand sanitizer is also located throughout the building.
  • Temperature check. We have dedicated volunteers who will do a temperature check using an infrared thermometer as you enter.

After You Leave

What You Can Do

  • Share what you’ve heard. How did God speak to you in the worship service? What are ways that you grow your heart for God, His people, and His world?

What We Will Do

  • Pray! Our leaders and volunteers pray throughout the week for the requests made on Sunday and during the week.
  • Clean and sanitize the church. During the week, our team goes through the entire building and sanitizes chairs, doorknobs, and other frequently touched items to prepare for the next Sunday.
